Is Nepal a poor country | what make nepal poor

is nepal a poor country
is nepal a poor country

Is Nepal a poor country? in view of government Yes Nepal is a poor country.

According to the calendar, we are 56/57 year ahead than the world but in terms of development, we are centuries behind

241 years back when America was not free before that we had already built Krishna mandir of Patan and Hanuman Dhoka of Basantapur

The country is the world's second-richest country in water resources, 49th in the world in natural resources, 48th in the world in terms of population, Nation has many natural resources.

But why this nation is today in the list of 147th least developed country in the world.

we are going to look at many reasons why the country is under a developing nation.

for ethnic culture and religious perspective, there is a lot we can contribute to the world.

Here we going to discuss step by step why Nepal a poor country.

Geographical structure

Himalayas landlocked country lies between India and China south of Tibet. Area with 147516km²   850 km from east to west and north to south 156 km.

Nation is divided into three Geographic sub-regions a mountainous northern border, region a central hilly area and the Terai a fertile plain land

One-third area is covered by hilly and mountain region which difficult to develop

Due to its geographical structure many areas of the hilly and mountain region there are no proper roads.

Due to bad infrastructure accident chance goes high, And automatically in that area, everything will be expensive which poor people cannot afford.

Only the Terai region cannot handle the whole of the Nation.

Resources are not in proper use because low maintenance of roadway heavy machines cannot transport because of low transportation.

While going form north to the east it takes 2 or 3 days a minimum

only 17% of the population lives in urban areas. Due to Nepal's geographic season are changing farmers could not estimate when will it rain.

Out of 10, we have 7 highest peaks that we cannot promote in a proper way.

Because government focus is not focusing on there work, they just focus on bank balance only so Nepal a poor country.

poverty in Nepal

The national poverty percentage has decreased to 21% in 2018. incidents have had a major impact on Nepal's poverty and inequality.

1st the rise of foreign employment after the people's movement of 1990.

2nd a decade long Maoist insurgency that started in1996 Many people may not know that before the Maoist insurgency.

Nation achieved a growth rate of more than 5% which drastically fell after the insurgency,
is nepal a poor country

In 2017 floods and landslides in Nepal killed about a thousand people and many had become homeless.

About 70 people die a year due to lightning strikes

the government has started different programs to reduce poverty has been promoting various organizations working in rural areas.

Most of the government programs are targeted to underprivileged areas and communities.

Although these government initiatives have provided relief to targeted communities. It is clear that this does not provide a permanent solution to poverty and inequality

The more thought-provoking thing is that districts like BARA and PARSA have a good per-capita labor productivity but yet they score very low in terms of different indicators of poverty so Nepal a poor country

literacy rate in Nepal

The national literacy rate for 2018 was 67.91%, and 8.28% increase from 2011. national literacy has increase but it is not enough.

Education is right to everyone. But in the context of Nepal, not everyone is getting a chance. Some area of Himalayan region

they have to walk 4 or 5 hours to go to school, some of them don’t go to school because of poverty
is nepal a poor country

Nepalese education system is coming under criticism of the parts.

Under this mission, the Ministry says that they will not only ensure that all primary school children will be enrolled but also, make the 4 million illiterate Nepal literate
within 2 years.

It is a matter of shame for the nation and that we have people who are illiterate the reason that our education is poor is management committees employ their own relatives' teachers whether they are qualified or not those are the people we are investing in then the curriculum.

The students are demanding a better quality of education and better services like toilets which have been constructed and not accessible to them.

Not good the books are not of good quality teachers are mediocre and even the examination system is not organized well if he managed these four elements then our problems will be solved

some of the teachers are demanding a permanent position for themselves they accused the headmaster of nepotism and corruption so Nepal a poor country.

unemployment Nepal

According to a survey of 2018/19 nation has 11.4% unemployment. The rate of unemployment in the nation has increased from 3 to 3.2 percent from 2015-2016.

Due to the lack of job many people are forced to go abroad for employment and a possible settlement

I feel very bad to have other countries to provide us with foreign employment, why the Nepal government cannot provide the same job in the nation.

Due to the nepotism right person avoiding and the job was given to relative and corrupt people only, and the result will be bad.

Having a certificate is not enough you need to have a connection.

By situation, there are more than 45,000 people joining the foreign labor market.
Nepal's unemployment rate currently over at 40 percent

People are still based on agriculture, there are a low number of industry so Nepal a poor country

Government of Nepal

After the end of monarchy democracy in the context of Nepal presently is somehow not fine because in the present scenario the total population of the nation half of the population is don't know to whom choose this would elect and there are so many representatives that they are not able to stand.

Nation is poor because we could not ensure political stability in 27 years we have changed our governments for 25 times.

Corporations are unable to invest in Nepal because of government policy and their parties.

In a democracy when people are unaware of whom they should select this thing is happening In this nation.

Instead of the rule of law, we are ruled by law those who have access to power are free to do anything without any reason anyone can organize political shutdown and attack on personal freedom.

we could not ensure the property rights of the citizen's nobody knows when the individual property is claimed by political parties.

Corruption is common people those who do corruption law are unable to catch them how could the nation can develop so Nepal a poor country.

Possibilities if Nepal apply the same policy

apple phone from USA and China can enter to Nepalese market easily but we are not able to bring our own apple from Jumla and mustang to our market

We are one of the best tourist destinations. out of 10, we have 7 highest peaks of the world.

For ethnic culture and religious perspective, there is a lot we can contribute to the world.
We are rich in water resources and geographical diversity.

Maybe in future

Las Vegas Casino establishes in the desert by promoting they welcome millions of tourists.
We are unable to promote the birthplace of LIGHT OF ASIA.

Having so much possibility, why we Nepalese are still in poverty?

Just 40 year back countries like China, India, Malaysia, Korea, and Taiwan were economically backward but in a short span of time, they are on the way to achieve prosperity.

During the second world war japan and Europe were totally collapsed but how could they manage to become the richest country today?

They became rich because they could ensure basic requirements that are essential for economic development,

they ensure political stability and accountable government,

They ensured the rule of law which helped to foster good governance minimize corruption and impunity

they eased complex beurocracy and ensured property rights they viewed profit and business positively.

they prioritized development to promote entrepreneurship and create an investment-friendly environment

adopting free-market policies they promoted trade and production which helped to create employment and take a leap towards economic development.
